Knowing the Language Changes How You Play

Slot volatility, rollover requirements, and moneyline odds all shape what happens to your balance. When you know exactly what a term means, you can pick games that fit your style, read an NFL point spread without second-guessing yourself, and understand what happens when you request a payout through PayPal or Venmo. This glossary is organized by category — game mechanics first, then

odds and betting lines, then account and payment terms — so you can jump straight to what you need rather than scrolling through a wall of text.

Game Mechanics and Table Terms Defined

These are the definitions that come up most often in our slot rooms, live dealer tables, and game-selection screens. Each one is written straight — no jargon layered on top of jargon.

RTP stands for Return to Player — the percentage of all wagered money a game pays back over many rounds. We display RTP only where the game provider exposes it in the game panel.

House edge is the mathematical advantage the operator holds on each bet. A blackjack game with a 0.5% house edge returns 99.5 cents on average for every dollar wagered over time.

Volatility describes how often a slot pays and how large those payouts tend to be. High-volatility slots like Gates of Olympus pay less frequently but can deliver larger single-round amounts.

A wager requirement is the number of times you must play through a bonus amount before withdrawing it. A $20 bonus with a 10x requirement means $200 in total bets before cash-out.

A jackpot is the largest prize a slot or table game can award. Progressive jackpots grow with each bet placed until one round triggers the full accumulated prize pool.

Live dealer games stream a real human dealer from a studio via video feed. Evolution powers many of our live tables including Live Dealer Baccarat, dealing cards in real time.

Betting Lines, Wallet Terms, and Account Definitions

These terms cover the sportsbook side of the lobby plus the account and payment steps you'll encounter when depositing via Venmo or requesting a payout. Players in Houston who move between the sportsbook and the casino floor will run into all of these.

A moneyline bet is a straight pick on which team wins, no point spread involved. Odds are shown as a positive or negative number — +150 means a $100 bet returns $150 profit if correct.

Over/under, also called a total, is a bet on whether the combined score of both teams will be above or below a number set by the sportsbook for that game.

A same-game parlay combines multiple legs from the same game — for example, an NFL player prop and a point spread — into one bet, with odds multiplied across each selected outcome.

Rollover is interchangeable with wager requirement. It specifies how many times a balance must be played through before a withdrawal is processed. Check your account activity screen for the current rollover status.

KYC stands for Know Your Customer — the identity verification process required before a withdrawal is released. You'll upload a government ID and sometimes a proof-of-address document through the account screen.

An e-wallet is a digital payment account that holds funds separately from your bank. PayPal and Venmo are the e-wallets we support; Play+ works as a prepaid card linked to your account wallet.

How These Terms Connect to Your draftk Account

Understanding a term is step one. Here's how these concepts play out in actual account actions — deposits, payout requests, game selection, and more.

Open any slot or table game and look for the information icon inside the game frame. RTP appears there only when the provider — such as Pragmatic Play or PG Soft — exposes it in their game panel.

Go to Account, then Verification. Upload a government-issued photo ID. Once reviewed and approved, your PayPal payout request moves to the processing queue without further holds.

If you want frequent smaller returns, look for low-volatility titles like Retro Reels Cash. If you're comfortable with longer dry streaks in exchange for larger prize-style slot features, high-volatility games like Crash Cash Ladder fit that pattern.

Your Play+ prepaid card balance appears in the wallet section of your account screen. Deposits from Play+ clear to your casino balance immediately after the transfer is confirmed on the card side.

Promo credit sits in a separate balance until the rollover is met. The account activity screen shows your progress — how much you've wagered and how much remains before cash-out is unlocked.

Yes — open the sportsbook tab on mobile, select an NFL game, and tap any combination of player props, point spreads or totals. The parlay builder calculates combined odds as you add each leg. Access depends on your eligible state.
